This Privacy Policy describes how Numa Space ("Numa," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Numa Space mobile application.

What we collect

When you use Numa Space, we collect the following types of information:

User-Generated Content

• Chat messages you send to Numa
• Journal entries (Personal Logs and Velaran Transmissions)
• NumaU questionnaire responses
• Pulse messages sent to people in your circle
• Mission completion records

• Daily message counts (for usage limits)
• App interaction patterns within the application
• Subscription status (when subscriptions are enabled)

• Device type and operating system version
• General device identifiers used to maintain your session

How we use your information

• Provide the Numa Space service, including AI conversation, journaling, and partnership features

• Send transmissions to recipients you designate in your circle

Third-party services

Numa Space relies on the following third-party services:

Supabase

Provides our backend database and authentication infrastructure. Your account data, journal entries, chat history, and other content are stored on Supabase servers.

OpenAI

Powers the AI conversation feature (Numa). Your chat messages and relevant context are sent to OpenAI's API to generate responses. We do not use OpenAI's data for training their models. Refer to OpenAI's privacy policy for their handling practices.

Apple App Store

Handles app distribution, updates, and (when applicable) in-app purchases.

Expo

Provides app update infrastructure for delivering bug fixes and improvements.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your associated personal information and content from our active databases within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal compliance.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The only sharing that occurs is:

• Between you and recipients you explicitly designate when sending pulses to your circle
• With our service providers (Supabase, OpenAI, Apple, Expo) as necessary to operate the app
• When required by law or legal process

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-essential data processing where applicable

Data security

We implement reasonable security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

Children

Numa Space is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

International users

Numa Space is operated from the United States. By using Numa Space, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the app or on our website. Your continued use of Numa Space after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
